Objective: To understand the actions developed by primary care nurses to promote women's health during menopause. Method: Descriptive, qualitative research conducted through interviews with 12 nurses working in primary care in the municipality of Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. The data were analyzed using Content Analysis. Results: The following categories emerged: (Dis)organization of menopausal women's health care, individual actions for menopausal women's care, and perceptions and suggestions regarding menopausal women's care. Nurses discussed the weaknesses in care, the lack of specific strategies and protocols, and the need to organize work processes and change health practices. Conclusion: These vulnerabilities were attributed to a lack of training, professional overload, the need for early detection, active search, and the creation of educational groups. The reorganization of strategies for menopausal women's care is recommended.
